about J.L. Black

Going to the Sun Road in Glacier, Montana

I am a dad, husband and adventurer who loves his family, dogs, mountains, sports and outdoor action. I am also an award-winning writer and producer.

Growing up I was the only kid on the block obsessed with bebop jazz, space travel and the Iran Hostage Crisis.

I went on to work as a journalist for more than 25 years, with stints at The Seattle Times, ABC News, WebMD and NBC News.

I excel at creating impactful stories and translating complex concepts into easily digestible content.

I collaborate with executives, engineers, scientists and other subject matter experts to weave narratives, elevate thought leadership and market products and services.
